The Season of Alchemy

Notes from the in-between, where silk, ritual, and everyday life meet in the season of alchemy.

October drifts in, the air softer, the edges of summer dissolving into gold. The jasmine has faded, the mornings come later, and everything begins to turn inward. This is the season of alchemy, where what falls away becomes the fertile ground for what is next. The art of this moment is not about doing more, but about steeping deeper, tending the inner fire while the world grows cooler.

I’ve been sneaking in as many quiet mornings and afternoons in the studio as I can, between chauffeuring my kids all over Los Angeles. The creative outlet really  does always find a way. The new silk sets I’ve  created carry the mood of this in between season, fluid, moody, touched with Le Sacrement and the feeling of change in the air.

🍂 New Arrivals

Several new silk sets are now live on the website, one of a kind pieces dyed in the hues of fall. And as we settle into the heart of the season, Velvet season has officially begun. These are some of my most beloved (and difficult) creations to make, investment garments meant to last and to be lived in. Each one is reversible: velvet on one side, silk-lined on the inside. They can be worn either way, draped over jeans and a t-shirt, or over bare skin at home by candlelight. They move beautifully, feel decadent, and turn the simplest moment into a scene of quiet luxury.

They are, truly, mystical goddess robes meant for the woman who lives artfully.

Caramel Cinnamon Hojicha: A Morning Ritual for Transition

Lately, my mornings begin with this, a warm, spiced cup that feels like autumn itself. It is grounding, heart-opening, and gently sweet, the perfect Fall replacement for my usual Matcha. Hojicha, a roasted Japanese green tea, has a soft, nutty flavor and almost no caffeine, making it a beautiful alternative to coffee. It’s grounding, antioxidant-rich, and gentle enough to sip all morning without the caffeine crash. When blended with cinnamon and a touch of caramel, it becomes pure alchemy, the warmth of comfort meeting the scent of transformation.

You’ll need:

• 1 teaspoon hojicha powder

• 1 cup hot almond milk

• A small dash of MALK Caramel Creamer (YUM!)

• sprinkle of cinnamon

• 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, the MALK creamer already makes it sweet!)

Optional: add pearl powder and/or collagen for luminosity

Whisk the hojicha with a little hot water, then add your warmed milk, creamer, and cinnamon. Sip slowly and let the warmth move through you, then go seduce the world.

You can envision me rushing everyone out the door every morning, one decadent caramel scented cup in hand, silk robe and sheet mask on, winding through the canyons of Los Angeles before school drop-off. Glamour isn’t always glamorous, but it’s definitely an art form.

📺 Currently Inspired By

Lately I have been watching reruns of Martha Stewart Living from the 90s. All that calm perfection, flower arranging, and silver-polishing energy feels cozy and grounding right now. I also rewatched Practical Magic, as I do every year. It’s the perfect October film, witchy, feminine, and filled with beauty and domestic sorcery.

On my nightstand is What Doncha You Know? About Henry Miller by Twinka Thiebaud. It is written by one of his caretakers during his later years and paints a fascinating portrait of Miller’s final chapter, the dinner parties, the conversations, the artists and muses who continued to gather around his table right up until his death. It is full of vitality and character, and I have been loving it.

🌒 Reflection

October bridges Libra and Scorpio season, from beauty and balance to depth and transformation. Libra teaches us to curate; Scorpio teaches us to purge, to compost what no longer feeds us, and to create something richer from what remains.

In other words, Libra season was for setting the vibe, and Scorpio season is for taking out the trash. Think of it as cosmic composting. Everything you toss now becomes fuel for what’s next.

Ask yourself: What can fall away now so something truer can take its place?

Closing

As we move into the darker half of the year, I’ll be creating pieces that hold warmth and intention, made to stir your natural radiance back to the surface. Everything I make is an invitation to slow down, to inhabit yourself fully, and to remember what’s already luminous in you. I’ll share more soon. Until then, stay soft, stay sharp, and let your beauty do the talking.

Love,

Stephanie
