Our Process

slow fashion

Our garments are all naturally dyed, made to order, and one of a kind. A lot of time, care, and intention go into producing each piece. This is slow fashion.

Our silk fabrics are sourced from Korea. We work closely with a sew team in downtown Los Angeles who sews our undyed garments.

Once they arrive in the Aurora Sage studio garments go through a detailed creative process. Stephanie hand dyes each piece with plants, herbs, and spices. Mantras are played during production, and a lot of love and energy goes into every unique piece. We wash each piece with Ph balanced detergent and fabric softener to ensure color fastness. They are then hung to dry in our studio tree and are ironed and labeled by the studio team. Each garment is uniquely beautiful and ready for you to enjoy.

Dyeing the silk with the colors of mother nature, produces the most perfectly imperfect patterns. The beauty truly lies in the imperfections, just like the best things in life. Back to Top

Sustainability

our conscious commitment

We are conscious of the environmental impact that the fashion industry has on our bodies and the environment, and are proud to say that we grew this company with that in mind. With more than 85% of textiles going into the landfill each year we are conscious of creating lasting designs that will have versatility in your closet. We’ve said that fashion is arguably a leading polluter, harming water sources and workers with chemical dyes. By keeping our practices clean we strive to create clothing that is good for the planet, good for the body, and good for the industry.

We work with a textile company that sources silk material from Korea. These factories are visited once a year to ensure quality and ethical practices. All silks are naturally dyed and safe for the skin. Our clothing is created with the finest silk and is easy to care for. Back to Top
